Supreme®/blackmeans

blackmeans is a Japanese company specializing in leather goods. Established in 2008 by Yujiro Komatsu, Tomoko Moriya, and brothers Takamoto and Masatomo Ariga, blackmeans approaches hardcore punk subculture through the lens of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. (The brand’s name is derived from "burakumin", a term referring to 18th century Japanese leatherworkers). blackmeans interprets punk staples – most notably, leather jackets and hand-mended pants – with a meticulous standard of construction and quality.

Supreme has worked with blackmeans on a new collection for Fall 2023. The collection consists of a hand-painted Leather Motorcycle Jacket; hand-mended Sweater and Jean; T-Shirt; and hand-painted Leather Belt and Lighter Case Keychain.
